Blowology Dry Bar LLC ("Blowology," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to responsibly handling the personal information entrusted to us.

This Privacy Policy explains how Blowology collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you visit or use our websites, book or receive salon or spa services, create or use an account, use our mobile application, purchase products, participate in memberships or promotions, communicate with us, or otherwise interact with Blowology.

Our services and digital properties may include:

  • The Blowology Dry Bar & Spa website;

  • The Blowology Dry Bar & Spa mobile application;

  • Appointment booking and client-management services provided through Meevo;

  • Our online product store operated through Shopify;

  • Email and SMS/text-message communications;

  • Customer accounts and membership programs;

  • Social media pages and marketing channels; and

  • Other websites, services, applications, and technologies operated by or on behalf of Blowology.

This Privacy Policy is intended to provide notice of our privacy practices. It is not intended to create contractual rights beyond those provided by applicable law.

C. Payment Information

When you purchase services, memberships, products, gift cards, packages, or other items from Blowology, payment information may be processed through third-party payment, booking, e-commerce, or financing providers.

Blowology does not intentionally retain customers' complete payment-card numbers in its own systems. Payment information may be collected and processed by third-party providers used to facilitate transactions.

D. Account Information

If you create an account through our website, mobile application, booking platform, or other authorized service, we may collect information associated with your account, including:

  • Name;

  • Email address;

  • Telephone number;

  • Appointment history;

  • Purchase history;

  • Membership or package information;

  • Preferences; and

  • Other information associated with your customer profile.

E. Communications

If you contact Blowology by telephone, email, text message, website form, social media, or another communication method, we may collect and retain information relating to that communication.

F. Marketing and Communication Information

We may collect and maintain information regarding:

  • SMS/text-message subscriptions;

  • Marketing preferences;

  • Promotional offers received or used;

Blowology may also request permission to use photographs or other media featuring customers. Where required, appropriate permission will be obtained before customer photographs or similar media are used for promotional purposes.

H. Information Collected Through Our Mobile Application

The Blowology Dry Bar & Spa mobile application is hosted and supported through Meevo, while Blowology provides and controls the salon-specific content and services available through the application.

Depending on the application's configuration, your device, and permissions you choose to grant, the application may collect or access information such as:

  • Name;

  • Email address;

  • Telephone number;

  • Appointment information;

  • Account information;

  • Service history;

  • Device information;

  • Application usage information;

  • Push-notification information;

  • Device identifiers;

  • Location information, if enabled;

  • Camera or photo-library information, if enabled; and

  • Other information reasonably necessary to provide application functionality.

The information actually collected through the application may depend on your device, permissions, operating system, Meevo's technology, and the application's configuration.

You may control certain device permissions through your device settings.

I. Automatically Collected and Technical Information

When you use our websites or applications, certain technical information may be collected automatically by Blowology or the technology providers necessary to operate those services, such as:

  • IP address;

  • Browser type;

  • Device type;

  • Operating system;

  • Internet service provider;

  • Pages viewed;

  • Date and time of visits;

  • General website or application usage information;

  • Device identifiers; and

  • Similar technical information necessary for functionality, security, troubleshooting, and operation.

Blowology does not currently use Meta Pixel, Google Ads or Google Analytics, TikTok Pixel, Shopify marketing pixels, or similar behavioral advertising or cross-site tracking technologies on its digital properties.

2. SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION AND SERVICE-SAFETY INFORMATION

In connection with certain salon or spa services, you may voluntarily provide information concerning:

  • Allergies;

  • Sensitivities;

  • Pregnancy;

  • Medications relevant to a requested service;

  • Injuries;

  • Skin conditions or sensitivities;

  • Hair or scalp conditions;

  • Previous treatments;

  • Medical or physical conditions relevant to service safety; or

  • Other information reasonably relevant to determining whether a requested service can be safely and appropriately performed.

Certain information voluntarily provided in connection with the safety or suitability of a service may constitute sensitive personal information under applicable law.

Blowology uses such information only as reasonably necessary to evaluate, provide, document, or safely administer requested services; protect customers and service providers; comply with applicable requirements; and for other purposes permitted by law.

Blowology does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about customers for advertising purposes.

Please provide only information reasonably relevant to the service being requested.

You may unsubscribe from promotional email communications by using the unsubscribe mechanism included in the applicable email.

Even if you unsubscribe from promotional emails, we may continue sending necessary transactional, account, appointment, purchase, safety, or service-related communications.

6. SMS AND TEXT-MESSAGE COMMUNICATIONS

Blowology may use your mobile telephone number to send SMS/text messages, including:

  • Appointment confirmations;

  • Appointment reminders;

  • Appointment-related communications;

  • Promotional offers;

  • Special promotions;

  • Membership communications;

  • Product information;

  • Customer-service communications; and

  • Other marketing or service-related messages.

Where required by applicable law, Blowology will obtain appropriate consent before sending promotional SMS/text messages.

You may opt out of promotional text messages by replying STOP to a marketing message. You may reply HELP for assistance.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Consent to receive promotional text messages is not a condition of purchasing Blowology goods or services.

Opting out of promotional SMS/text messages does not necessarily prevent Blowology from sending non-marketing transactional or service-related communications concerning appointments, purchases, accounts, safety, or other services you have requested, where permitted by law.

7. COOKIES AND ESSENTIAL TECHNOLOGIES

Blowology's websites and applications and the service providers necessary to operate them may use cookies, SDKs, local storage, or similar technologies that are reasonably necessary for:

  • Website and application functionality;

  • Account functionality;

  • Remembering preferences;

  • Security;

  • Fraud prevention;

  • Session management;

  • Shopping-cart or e-commerce functionality;

  • Troubleshooting; and

  • Maintaining and improving technical performance.

Blowology does not currently use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not currently use Meta Pixel, Google Ads or Google Analytics, TikTok Pixel, Shopify marketing pixels, or similar advertising tracking technologies.

Third-party platforms used to provide Blowology services may use technologies necessary to operate their respective services in accordance with their own privacy practices.

You may be able to control certain cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling cookies or other technologies necessary for website or application functionality may cause certain features to operate incorrectly or become unavailable.

8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

Blowology works with third-party companies that help us operate our business and provide services to customers.

These may include providers involved in:

  • Appointment booking;

  • Customer relationship management;

  • Mobile application functionality;

  • Payment processing;

  • Financing;

  • E-commerce;

  • Product fulfillment;

  • Website hosting;

  • Email communications;

  • SMS communications;

  • Cloud storage;

  • Security;

  • Customer service; and

  • Other legitimate business operations.

These providers may receive or process personal information reasonably necessary to perform services for Blowology or complete a transaction requested by you.

Our current technology ecosystem may include Meevo, Shopify, Squarespace, payment processors, financing providers such as Cherry, and other service providers necessary to operate our business.

Third-party providers may maintain their own privacy policies and practices concerning information they process.

9. MEEVO

Blowology uses Meevo to support appointment booking, customer accounts, salon operations, and the Blowology Dry Bar & Spa mobile application.

Meevo may process personal information on behalf of or in connection with Blowology's services.

Because the Blowology application and booking services use third-party technology, information provided through those services may be processed by Meevo and other technology providers reasonably necessary to provide their functionality.

Users may also review applicable privacy disclosures provided by Meevo for additional information concerning Meevo's privacy practices.

10. SHOPIFY

Blowology's online product store is operated through Shopify.

When you purchase products through our online store, Shopify and other service providers may process information reasonably necessary to complete the transaction, including:

  • Contact information;

  • Shipping information;

  • Billing information;

  • Payment information; and

  • Order information.

Shopify's handling of personal information may also be subject to its applicable privacy practices.

Blowology does not currently use Shopify marketing pixels for cross-context behavioral advertising.

11. PAYMENT AND FINANCING PROVIDERS

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.

Blowology does not intentionally store customers' complete payment-card numbers in its own systems.

Where financing options are available, including financing through Cherry, information may be provided directly to the applicable financing provider and processed according to that provider's own privacy practices and terms.

12. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION

Blowology may disclose personal information when reasonably necessary to operate our business, provide requested services, complete transactions, maintain security, comply with law, or protect our rights.

Depending on your interaction with us, recipients may include:

  • Meevo;

  • Shopify;

  • Payment processors;

  • Financing providers;

  • Email communication providers;

  • SMS communication providers;

  • Website and hosting providers;

  • Shipping and fulfillment providers;

  • Cloud-storage providers;

  • Technology providers;

  • Professional advisers;

  • Government authorities when legally required; and

  • Other service providers reasonably necessary to operate Blowology or provide services requested by you.

We may also disclose information:

  • When required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process;

  • To investigate suspected fraud, security incidents, or unlawful activity;

Service providers are expected to process information in accordance with applicable contractual and legal requirements.

13. SALE AND SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Blowology does not currently sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration as those terms are defined under applicable California privacy law.

Blowology also does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as "sharing" is defined under applicable California privacy law.

Blowology does not currently use advertising pixels or similar tracking technologies for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Accordingly, based on our current practices, Blowology does not currently engage in activities requiring customers to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

If our practices change in the future in a manner that constitutes "selling" or "sharing" personal information under applicable law, we will update our disclosures and provide legally required choices and opt-out mechanisms.

14. GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL AND OPT-OUT PREFERENCE SIGNALS

Global Privacy Control ("GPC") and other legally recognized opt-out preference signals allow consumers to communicate certain privacy preferences through supported browsers or technologies.

Blowology does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If Blowology's practices change in the future such that we engage in sale or sharing subject to an opt-out right, we will recognize and process legally valid opt-out preference signals, including GPC where required by applicable law.

15. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY DISCLOSURES

Depending on whether and to what extent applicable California privacy law applies to Blowology, California residents may have certain rights regarding their personal information.

Depending on the service requested and information voluntarily disclosed, this may include certain health, safety, physical-condition, or other information relevant to determining whether a salon or spa service can be safely performed.

Purposes include evaluating, documenting, and safely providing requested services.

Recipients are limited to Blowology personnel and service providers for whom access is reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose, subject to applicable law.

Blowology does not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about customers for advertising purposes.

Subject to applicable law and applicable exceptions, California residents may have the following rights:

You may have the right to request information concerning the personal information Blowology has collected about you, including applicable categories, sources, purposes, recipients, and specific pieces of personal information.

You may have the right to request deletion of personal information Blowology has collected from you, subject to legal exceptions that may permit or require us to retain certain information.

You may have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information maintained about you.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing

California consumers may have the right to direct a covered business not to sell or share their personal information.

Blowology does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Blowology uses sensitive service-safety information only for reasonably necessary operational, safety, service, legal, and other permitted purposes and does not use such information to infer characteristics for advertising purposes.

Blowology will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights available to you under applicable law.

17. SUBMITTING A CALIFORNIA PRIVACY REQUEST

When submitting a request, please identify that your communication concerns a California Privacy Request and provide sufficient information for us to understand and process your request.

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. Information collected for verification will be used for verification and related compliance purposes.

We will respond to verified requests within the time required by applicable law. Certain requests may be denied or limited where permitted or required by law, including when we cannot reasonably verify the request or when an applicable exception permits or requires us to retain information.

You are not required to create a new Blowology account solely to submit a privacy request.

Where permitted by applicable law, you may designate an authorized agent to submit certain privacy requests on your behalf.

We may require reasonable evidence that the agent is authorized to act for you and may require you to verify your identity directly with Blowology where permitted by law.

Retention periods vary depending on the category of information and the purposes for which it is processed.

Blowology uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, or destruction.

However, no website, application, electronic transmission, storage system, or method of processing information can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials associated with services you use and should notify us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

21. CHILDREN AND MINORS

Blowology's websites and digital services are not directed to children under 13, and Blowology does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through those services in circumstances requiring parental consent without obtaining legally required authorization.

Blowology may provide certain appropriate salon or spa services to minors in accordance with its service policies and applicable law.

A parent or legal guardian may provide information concerning a minor when booking, purchasing, authorizing, or managing an appropriate Blowology service on the minor's behalf.

Information concerning a minor will be used for purposes reasonably necessary to administer the applicable appointment or service, communicate with the parent or guardian, maintain appropriate records, protect health and safety, and comply with applicable requirements.

Blowology does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to Blowology inappropriately, please contact us.

22. SOCIAL MEDIA AND THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES

Blowology may maintain profiles or pages on third-party social-media platforms.

If you interact with Blowology through a third-party platform, that platform may independently collect or process information according to its own privacy policy.

Our websites or applications may also contain links to websites, applications, or services operated by third parties.

Blowology does not control the privacy practices of independent third parties. We encourage you to review their applicable privacy policies before providing personal information.
